Hard Boiled Eggs

Vegetarian



Ingredients

Eggs. As many as you want.

Salt

Optional: pepper or any other spices you like.

Tools

1 pot with a lid

1 bowl of ice water

A timer

1. Put eggs in a pot. Fill with water until just covering the eggs. You want them to be in one layer, not piled on top of each other. If you're doing a lot of eggs, use a bigger pot. 


2. Turn burner on high. Put on the lid. Put the timer on for 10 minutes.


3. The water should have been in a rolling boil for the last few minutes of the timer. After it goes off, keep the lid on the pot, turn the heat off and MOVE the pot from the hot burner. Turn the timer on for 10 more minutes. You will leave the eggs in the pot with the lid on sitting in the boiling water with no heat under it.


4. Once this timer goes off pour out the hot water and carefully transfer the eggs into the ice bath.

Let cool and then peel, add some sea salt, pepper or any other spice to taste.
