Scrub-a-dub-dub

Water.

It connects us all.

There is something magical about bathing children.

There is a gentleness and a present-ness that makes this a cherished time.

Birthday suits. Birthplace memories. Bubbled bliss.

Lets get our bath on.

Hooded Towels

I have loved hooded towels for years now. I used to work for a company that sold hundreds of thousands of these and now I see why! They are the easiest thing to get on and wrap around any child. They make slightly larger and smaller ones geared toward babies and kids. I love these 3 sprout ones because they are a good "middle siz" and they make ones with the animals that aren't as commonly considered cute. I love the real hand-crafted feel between the stiching, stuffing and the soft fabrics used. We have the chicken and the walrus and I laugh every time I see the kids in them. We've used them for over 2 years, so they are definitely worth it! We have 3 per kid and it seems to be enough. Enjoy!

Puj Tub

This infant tub folds and sits in the sink. I loved it because you can rinse it and then hang it up to dry wherever you have a wall hook. I like that it fits in the sink because it gets the baby up to your height and secure within a concave space, so no fear of the tub moving or readjusting while you have precious cargo in there. We put this in the kitchen sink which also allowed us to use the handheld spray for easy clean up.

It is a space saver and easily portable.

Simple, Practical, Pure Perfection.

Collapsible Tub

The baby tub has many forms. As you can see from my inclusion of the "puj tub", I'm partial to two tub options at this age rather than the all in one. While appealing, I have found the all in one tubs to be bulky and tricky to manuever around the house. I love a space saver and this tub collapses down and hangs. What this translates to is no bulky kid tub sitting in your tub, or around the house. Again, a simple and no-frills design, I am able to focus on time with my littles rather than negotiating my body space and sanity with a piece of plastic.

No-Skid Bath Tub Mat

This photo is one similar to the one we have, but honestly, the design is your choice. We all share one bathroom, so instead of getting a cute kid one, we got one that has an aesthetic that we enjoy. I love anti-skid mat for when the kids are in the bathtub and out of the mini-tubs. Their bums stick to this mat and if they stand they are less likely to slip back. This does not negate the need for constant monitoring, but it does give some added function and a little piece of mind.

Skip Hop Waterfall Rinser

Our bathtub is full of plastic containers for play, but this waterfall rinser has been a staple. It makes it easy for me to rinse of my kids and if they keep their head back and I push the lip up against their forehead, I can get it so the water doesn't pour into their eyes. I am minimalist when it comes to bathtime accessories, but this one is a go-to.

Skip Hop Faucet Cover

For many of our tubs, the faucet has some sharp metal edges on it. Those big heads on our kids often cause them to topple back and as they get older and start messing around in the bathtub, their little sleep drunk bodies start to really flail around. So as a safety precaution this faucet cover is a great way to soften the blow when one of your kids knocks into the faucet. Sweet design, simple to put on. The one thing to watch out for, is over time, mold will grow on the inside, so you need to take it off regularly and clean it.

Step Stool

I need to give this one a little more thought. We have two small needle point stools that must have been a grandma's that we bought in a yard sale that I used to prop my feet on while I was nursing, and then our kids now use them in the bathroom to reach the sink or in the bedroom to get into their beds, or other places they aren't supposed to be. I am still on the hunt for the right one to purchase, but for now, any small step stool is a good item to have around. Be warned, that toddler discovery of their functionality can result in the need for temporary removal as they will joyfully make their way to new heights.
